Student Learning Experience
Students expressed high levels of satisfaction with the Problem-Based Learning branched web Virtual Patients. Benefits cited included:
- interactivity
- increased engagement, student motivation and group discussion and
- greater realism
Perhaps most importantly for learning outcomes were the repeated and unprompted statements by students that the inclusion of choices required them to think more and promoted better understanding than paper based cases, and promoted clinical reasoning.
